This weekly book meme hosted by MizB of Should Be Reading. To play along, just answer the following three (3) questions…
• What are you currently reading?
• What did you recently finish reading?
• What do you think you’ll read next?
What am I currently reading?
The Bonesetter’s Daughter by Amy Tan (unabridged audio cd) and Tinkers by Paul Harding. I’m not very far into either of them due to Christmas obligations, but I’m hoping to get through at least one of them over the Christmas break.
What did I recently finish reading?
In Cold Blood by Truman Capote (unabridged audio cd) and Sister of My Heart by Chitra Banerjee Divakaruni. Both were very enjoyable reads, and the Capote book was outstanding in every regard. I will post reviews soon.
What do you think you’ll read next?
I’m hoping to get into A Personal Odyssey by Thomas Sowell, Testimony by Anita Shreve, and Evangelism and the Sovereignty of God by J. I. Packer. I typically have several books going at one time, and especially if I’m reading a lot of nonfiction. I generally want something light and fun to offset some of the deeper reads.
My next audio selection will probably be Up in Honey’s Room by Elmore Leonard or A Poet’s Corner by John Lithgow. Both are relatively short, and both are genres I haven’t read / listened to in a long time.
Lots of good reading (and listening) to look forward to in 2012.
